On 2 March 2021, the Minister of Transport Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, who is also Chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), and Bulgarian Minister of Transport Hristo Aleksiev co-signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in the field of air cargo, in the presence of the President of (GACA) Abdulhadi bin Ahmed Al-Mansouri.
The MoU included a number of legal items related to cementing cooperation and coordination in the field of air cargo, in addition to air safety, aviation security and a time-table for the routes to be operated, in order to consolidate bilateral cooperation, based on mutual utility and reciprocal respect, in accordance with the regulations and laws of the two countries.
