To achieve operational efficiency, it is vital to bring scrutiny to different aspects of aviation operations, both in-flight and on-ground. In-flight considerations would include considering different navigational procedures and the use of SAF. As for on-ground operations, techniques and equipment that can help reduce fuel consumption, time, and noise, and improve safety & flexibility are being tested.
The question remains; aside from SAF, will efficiencies gained through operational improvements make a big difference in terms of reducing emissions?
11:00 - 11:30 Coffee Break
11:30 - 13:00 Technical Operations – The Digital Transformation of Aircraft Technical Operation
Although the move toward paperless operations has been exponential across different industries, the overall drive to change remains slow in the aviation industry.
Areas such as digital signature and electronic maintenance record keeping, aircraft health monitoring, and electronic Log Book / eTechLog, can be beneficial in terms of enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of operations. This session will discuss the latest initiatives in digitalizing aircraft technical operations, the level of adoption, and the benefits of such practices.

The rise of geopolitical tensions in different parts of the world has brought back to the forefront the need to implement multi-layered aviation security protocols to ensure business continuity. This session will discuss the following questions:

How can airlines mitigate route closures?
To what extent information sharing is important during crises?
