Saudi Arabian Airlines declared that it plans to sell some of its shares via an Initial Public offering within two years. The airline has already started the process of privatization in August 2006, and intends to privatize five of its divisions by the end of 2007 prior to selling shares of its major activities via an IPO.
On the other hand, Saudi Arabian Airlines has received a new Embraer 170 to join its eight received aircraft of the same type under the framework of an order for fifteen aircraft of the type. Saudi Arabian Airlines’s Embraer 170 is described by a capacity of 66 seats, of which six are in first class.
