January Passenger Numbers Rise by 1.6% at Queen Alia International Airport

Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) has seen a slight 1.6% rise in year-to-year passenger (PAX) numbers compared to January 2016, as revealed by Airport International Group (AIG) – the Jordanian company responsible for the rehabilitation, expansion and operation of QAIA. During the first month of the year, the Airport welcomed 576,912 PAX compared to 567,823 PAX received in the same month of last year.
In January, the Airport also reported 5,819 aircraft movements (ACM) as opposed to 5,898 ACM in 2016, effecting a 1.3% year-on-year fall, while cargo figures dropped 7.0% as QAIA handled 7,036 tons compared to 7,561 tons during the same month of 2016.
