Pilot Training College (PTC) is one of Europe’s leading JAA/EASA approved flight training organisations. We train and produce ‘Airline Ready’ graduates through world class training and instruction; operating from purpose built training centres in Waterford and Dublin, Ireland and Florida, USA. We believe that initial pilot training is critical to setting the values and practices that a pilot will carry throughout his or her career in aviation. Pilot Training College trains up to 200 pilots each year and our graduates are now flying with over 30 airlines from around the world including British Midlands, Ryanair, Aer Lingus, CityJet, Air Astana, Flybe and Qantas to name but a few. Our instructors have clocked up over 60,000 flying hours and small class sizes mean that our students get the full benefit of this expertise. We invest heavily in our staff and infrastructure and we have access to a fleet of over 40 modern aircraft and the very latest in technology and avionics. Pilot Training College is fully certificated to provide JAA Integrated pilot training which is a fast paced intensive course that sees pilots trained in under 14 months. PTC also runs a three-year BSc (Hons) in Airline Transport Operations with Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT), offering world class commercial flight training combined with a university degree. PTC provides a series of JAA modular training courses, including JAA ATPL Theory Programme by Distant Learning, that allows more flexibility in the study programme for current airline pilots that need to convert their licences to JAA. We operate a mentored cadetship on behalf of Flybe, Europe’s largest regional carrier. We are also the exclusive ab-initio training partner of Air Astana, the national flag carrier of Kazakhstan. In June 2010, PTC was confirmed as an official ab-initio training partner of Qatar Airways. This international partnership will mean that Qatar Airways cadet pilots will begin their training with PTC in 2011 under the mentored cadet pilot scheme and FAA-JAA ATPL/IR Conversion Programme.
